Handy Tips to Help with Menstrual Pains: Food & Drink

Ladies - it's a feeling like no other and one that can just knock you off your feet making you want to curl up in a ball. While we don't have the mystical cure to banish menstrual cramp, we do have a list of things to eat and drink that will help make that time of the month more tolerable.

1. Try Eating Bananas

Bananas are a great source of potassium which aids in reducing water retention and that bloat feeling. A single banana will replace the potassium you lose from one to two hours of exercise and also help reduce cramping.

2. Peppermint & Chamomile

Since caffeine is best to be limited during your period, a warm cup of chamomile and peppermint tea is a just the fix to help with your symptoms. Our It's That Time is specially blended for before and during. We designed this blend to make being a woman just a little easier with each sip :)

 3. Dark Chocolate- Yes Please!

Dark chocolate contains magnesium which helps subside cramps and boosts your overall mood. It also contains flavonoids, which is an antioxidant that improves your health and endorphins. Dark chocolate is high in iron and during that time of the month, iron is something we get low on from blood loss.

 4. Green tea

While caffeine is not ideal but to get through your day you need that little boost- grab a cup of green tea. Not only will the antioxidants help keep the rest of your body and immune system in top shape, the warm tea will feel like a hug on your cramping uterus. Triple Teatox evening blend is a great pick or try any one of these green teas.
